Zumi Academy is where motivation meets movement, helping students discover their potential through martial arts.

At Zumi Academy, martial arts is more than just training. It is a way to build community, confidence, and character. Our mission is to create a space where people of all ages and backgrounds feel welcome, supported, and motivated to study an art and create a lifestyle that is unique to them.

Our approach blends the traditions of Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, giving grapplers a complete foundation that respects both arts while making sense for modern training. By combining Judo’s dynamic throws with Jiu Jitsu’s ground based strategy, we help students develop skills that are practical, effective, and adaptable.

At the core of Zumi Academy we believe that martial arts is for everyone. Whether you are here to improve your fitness, compete, or challenge yourself in new ways and our coaches provide the structure and support to help you progress. Together, we are building a community that grows stronger with every class.

Kids

ZUMI Academy’s youth philosophy cultivates a mindful lifestyle through Jiu Jitsu and Judo, nurturing coordination, emotional intelligence, and character. Safety anchors every lesson—students first learn control, awareness, and respect. Communication and focus are built through cooperative drills and mindfulness practice, fostering confidence and resilience.

Technical training refines balance, posture, and flow, while life skills like gratitude, humility, and perseverance show that true progress lies not in belt color but in how one carries themselves beyond the mat.

Adults

Our Adult Program is designed to meet you where you are in your martial arts journey. We have Jiu Jitsu Gi All Levels & Jiu Jitsu No-Gi All Levels, giving you a balance of traditional & modern grappling styles. We offer a nice blend of Judo that teaches traditional budo along with variations that transition into many different studies of Martial Arts.

Whether you are stepping on the mat for the first time or preparing for competition, we have a place for you. Beginners will build strong fundamentals in technique, movement, and strategy, while experienced athletes can sharpen their skills with advanced game & technique planning. Each class is followed by an Open Mat, where you can test your drilling, put in extra rounds, or get a solid workout with teammates.
